AmritLink

DMCA & Copyright Compliance Policy

Effective September 23, 2026. Last updated September 23, 2026.

This Policy explains how AmritLink handles claims of copyright infringement involving links created through the Service, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1

Statement of Principle

AmritLink ("AmritLink," "we," "us," or "our") operates the link-shortening and redirection service available at amritlink.xyz (the "Service"). We respect the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect everyone who uses the Service to do the same. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and to operate the Service consistently with the copyright obligations recognized under applicable international treaties, including the Berne Convention and the WIPO Copyright Treaty.

AmritLink is a neutral technical intermediary. We do not create, select, review, endorse, or modify the destination content associated with any shortened link. Our function is limited to automated URL redirection at the request of independent third-party users. AmritLink is not a publisher, distributor, or web host of the material found at any destination address, and nothing in this Policy should be read as an admission to the contrary.

2

Notice of Non-Hosting: Technical Clarification

To assist rights holders in directing their efforts appropriately, AmritLink discloses the following about how the Service technically operates:

  • When a user creates a link on AmritLink, our system stores a short code (for example, amritlink.xyz/x7Yq2) that is mapped, in our database, to a destination URL supplied by that user.
  • When a visitor follows the short link, AmritLink's server issues an HTTP redirect instruction that sends the visitor's browser directly to the destination URL. At no point does AmritLink retrieve, cache, mirror, stream, or store the file, page, or media located at that destination.
  • AmritLink's servers do not, at any time, contain copies of images, video, audio, software, ROMs, torrents, or any other copyrighted work. What resides on our infrastructure is a redirect record only — a pairing of a short code and a destination address.

Consequently, if copyrighted material is alleged to be infringing, that material exists exclusively on a third-party external server that AmritLink does not own, operate, or control. AmritLink is not in a technical position to alter, edit, or remove content from that external server. The only action available to us is to disable the AmritLink short link that points to it, which we do promptly upon receipt of a valid notice as described in Section 5.

3

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or an agent authorized to act on a copyright owner's behalf, and you believe that a link generated through AmritLink resolves to material that infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following elements:

  1. Identity and contact information. Your full legal name (or the name of the organization you represent), mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, sufficient to allow us to locate and identify it.
  3. Identification of the AmritLink short link(s). The exact, complete AmritLink short URL or URLs alleged to redirect to infringing material (for example, https://amritlink.xyz/example). General descriptions of "a link somewhere on your site" are not sufficient.
  4. The destination URL. The final external address that the short link resolves to, so that we can confirm the redirect and, where appropriate, notify the relevant party.
  5. Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy statement under penalty of perjury. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  7. Signature. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices

A notice missing any of the elements above may not constitute effective notification under Section 512(c)(3)(B), and AmritLink may be unable to act on it until the missing information is provided. We recommend using the checklist above as a drafting guide before submission.

4

Designated Copyright Agent

AmritLink has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement relating to the Service. Notices should be directed as follows:

Email
[email protected] (alternatively [email protected])
Online submission
amritlink.xyz/contact
Review timeframe
Complete, compliant notices are reviewed and actioned within 24–48 business hours of receipt.
Fastest path to a takedown

Email [email protected] with the exact short link, the destination URL, and the statements described in Section 3. Notices sent to this address that contain all required elements are prioritized for same-cycle review.

5

Takedown Actions & Remedy

Upon receipt of a notice that substantially complies with the requirements of Section 3, AmritLink will:

  • Promptly disable the identified short link, so that it no longer redirects visitors to the destination address;
  • Add the destination domain or URL to an internal restriction list, preventing that destination from being shortened again through the Service; and
  • Where the account that created the link can be identified, notify that account of the action taken and the reason for it.

Disabling a short link removes AmritLink's redirect only. It does not, and cannot, remove the underlying material from the third-party server on which it resides. Rights holders seeking removal of the material itself should contact the host of the destination website directly, in addition to notifying AmritLink.

6

Repeat Infringer Policy

Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), AmritLink has adopted and reasonably implements a policy that provides for the termination, in appropriate circumstances, of accounts belonging to users who are repeat infringers.

  • An account associated with multiple links found, upon valid notice, to redirect to copyright-infringing material will be flagged for review.
  • An account determined to be a repeat infringer will have its access to the Service terminated, including suspension of link-creation privileges and closure of the account.
  • Any unpaid publisher earnings or balances attributable to traffic generated through infringing links are forfeited upon termination for repeat infringement.

AmritLink reserves the right to terminate an account after a single instance of clear, willful infringement, and is not obligated to permit a fixed number of violations before taking action.

7

Counter-Notification Procedure

If your short link was disabled as a result of a takedown notice and you believe this occurred as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material, or that your use of the material qualifies as fair use or is otherwise authorized, you may submit a counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), a valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the short link that was disabled and its location before removal;
  3. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number; and
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, for any judicial district in which AmritLink may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, AmritLink will forward a copy to the party who submitted the original takedown notice. Unless that party informs us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the link creator from engaging in the infringing activity, we will restore the disabled link not less than 10, and not more than 14, business days following receipt of the counter-notice.

8

Misrepresentation & Bad-Faith Claims

Legal liability for false claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages — including costs and attorneys' fees — incurred by AmritLink, the link creator, or the copyright owner as a result of that misrepresentation.

This liability applies equally to bad-faith takedown notices and bad-faith counter-notices. Before submitting a notice under this Policy, please confirm in good faith that the use you are reporting is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. AmritLink reserves the right to disregard notices that appear to be submitted in bad faith, and to take appropriate action against accounts found to have abused this process, including submitting fraudulent takedown requests to disable a competitor's or another user's lawful links.

This Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law or our practices. The version posted at amritlink.xyz/dmca is the version currently in effect. For any question about this Policy that is not addressed above, contact [email protected].
